Description
Giovanni Battista Pergolesi was an Italian composer, violinist and organist. Born at Jesi, Pergolesi studied music there under a local musician, Francesco Santini, before going to Naples in 1725, where he studied under Gaetano Greco, Francesco Durante and Francesco Feo among others. He spent most of his brief life working for aristocratic patrons like the principe di Stigliano and the duca di Maddaloni. (Extracted from Wikipedia )

Although the audio preview is with oboe & guitar the arrangement works just as well with two guitars, violin, flute, recorder etc…

Minus One Option
I would like to offer, free of charge, three MP3 copies of each dance i.e.
MP3 01: Pergolesi’s Sicilian No. 1 Full Score
MP3 02: Pergolesi’s Sicilian No. 1 Minus Oboe.
MP3 03: Pergolesi’s Sicilian No. 1 Minus Guitar.

To obtain this, after purchase, please forward your email address (in strictest confidence) and I will send you the Zip file containing them.

The preview sound file consists of a playing of the Sicilian No. 1 (preview page) followed by a repeat without the solo instrument which segues into the remaining duet.
